This years ORG contest is an altitude contest with a twist.
Fly any legal model rocket with any legal model rocket motor(s) to the highest recorded altitude and recover on the raked portion of the grenade range. Any rocket landing completely outside of the raked portion of the grenade range is disqualified. Any rocket completely inside or even touching the raked portion of the grenade range qualifies.
If flying a multi-stage rocket, the sustainer is the only part of the rocket that can qualify. Boosters do not count.
Black powder or composite engines can be used. The maximum installed impulse cannot exceed 160ns (G impulse motor).
Simple recording altimeters are acceptable recording devices.
This years contest winner will win a prize. Don’t ask, it’s a surprise.
How high do you dare fly?
